Sexuality is easily the most explosive and deeply rooted of all human drives, perhaps only paralleled by physical hunger. To be mindfully aware of our sexual behavior is the first step in adhering to the precept of not misusing sexuality. In an atmosphere of trust, we will encourage each other to explore and bring up the issues of our sexuality. Our sexuality and our spiritual energy are intimately linked with one another. How do we understand this energy in the context of our life situation and our relationships? How do we heal and grow a healthy relationship to sexuality, intimacy and love?
In this class we will look at these and other issues surrounding spiritual life and sexuality through journaling, discussion, and study. This is a great opportunity to openly discuss one of the least talked about and most powerful topics in Buddhist practice.
