Mindfulness: The Grain of Sand

The day-to-day practice of mindfulness is the grain of sand around which the pearl of enlightenment forms. When we speak of mindfulness, though, what do we really mean? How does it affect the quality of our lives and how do we develop it? Using the Buddha's four foundations of mindfulness as a guide, this class will focus on developing specific practices to become more mindful in our daily lives. We will practice together and share with each other the struggles and joys of this practice. This class is a good follow-up to Buddhism 101 but is appropriate for all who would like to devote more energy to this essential practice.
