Introduction to Meditation

Are you interested in beginning or renewing a regular meditation practice? In this four-week class, you will give and receive support for daily meditation. Developing a meditation discipline is not about control, shaming or failure, but it is about answering the deep call of our hearts. The class will cover the basics of zazen or Zen meditation. We will explore various sitting meditation postures (including sitting in a chair), as well as standing, walking and lying down meditation. Each class will include instruction, meditation and small group sharing circles. You will benefit most from this class if you are able to set aside 10–30 minutes each day for meditation.
